FULL SCHEDULE  September 8 - 10, 2018

Let's hit the road - to celebrate Artocade, Rosh Hashanah, Havdalah, the Trinidad Lounge, Cardango, Temple Aaron and weekend fun in Trinidad, Colorado!

(Kinda like a Jewish Mardi Gras – a big party before we have to get serious.)

 

 

We'll travel by caravan to the end of the Santa Fe Trail just in time for the weekend of the Artocade parade and Rodney's Cardango Gala (illuminated circus, funk band, samba, taiko, firecracker hat dance and of course, brilliantly eccentric art cars).

 

 

Temple Aaron will host us for a charming and lyrical pre-New Year meal with music and stories, and we'll welcome the moon and stars with a whiskey havdalah ceremony.

​

 

Perhaps we'll do a detour or two to see the cutting-edge projects on tap from our favorite historic preservationist as well as the Corazon de Trinidad Creative District.

​

 

 

 

For your convenience, you can also register for Rosh Hashanah services on Sept 9-10. If you will stay for services, you may want to take advantage of the package deal including two nights of discounted lodging at La Quinta. Detailed schedule is below.

The Schedule – Take the package or choose just a few…

 

SATURDAY

8:30 a.m.-ish Leave for Trinidad -your own transportation (caravan option from Denver)

Noonish arrive Trinidad, check in at hotel

Noon - Tentative - Camaraderie on our own bus or trolley which takes us from La Quinta to Main Street (with snacks/lunch if it all works out - will keep you updated), and to select destinations through the day and evening

Noon-1:30 Artocade parade on Main Street

Noon-Midnight - Tentative - Dana Crawford invites us to enjoy the Trinidad Lounge in her historic hotel

1:30-5:00 p.m. Artocade cars and drivers conduct meet & greets on Main Street along with street performers

6:00-7:00 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages at Temple Aaron dining area

7:00-8:00 p.m. Music and Whiskey Havdalah Service at Temple Aaron sanctuary

6:30-Midnight Cardango dance party circus gala (with fire performers and more) at the Fairgrounds (we'll head over after Havdalah)

SUNDAY

Morning TBD - historic tours, Sunday Funday, and perhaps brunch

Midday - those not staying for services leave

7:00 p.m. Erev Rosh Hashanah Services at Temple Aaron
