Temple Aaron is excited to announce the schedule of events for the upcoming Founders Day Celebration this July. Join us beginning Thursday, July 23 for these events:
Cy Michaels, Mayor of Trinidad, will kick off the celebration at a reception Thursday eve where she will read the proclamation recognizing July 23 as "Temple Aaron Founder's Day." Also that evening, we’ll debut Temple Aaron’s new Historic Archive.
On Friday, we'll open the temple for an Open House in the afternoon and then welcome Shabbat with a service led by Rabbi Joe Black, beloved Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Emanuel, Denver. He will lead services again Saturday morning, and then we'll get to enjoy a kiddush lunch at Temple Aaron catered by AlMack’s Kitchen (RSVP HERE for lunch). While we are eating, we'll listen to talks by expert historians Jordan Bennett and/or Josh Furman from the Rocky Mountain Jewish HIstoric Society at the University of Denver and other speakers. After lunch, those who wish will get a historian-led tour of Temple Aaron's Cemetery.
Saturday evening, DON'T MISS an amazing show with GORA GORA ORKESTAR and special guests Jordan Wax and Zoe Aqua at the Trinidad Lounge ($10 cover at the door, CASH ONLY). Last time they were here, they brought the house down.
Then on Sunday morning, we'll have a Bagel Nosh and farewell gathering at 10 am at the temple.
