Matthew Thiessen is associate professor of religious studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He is the author of numerous books, including A Jewish Paul, Jesus and the Forces of Death, Paul and the Gentile Problem, and Contesting Conversion, which was awarded the Manfred Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise.

The Temple Aaron campaign has met its initial goal to fund critical repairs, two-year operating expenses, and commission of a historic building assessment. A capital campaign now seeks to secure an endowment for preservation in perpetuity.
